Designed in 1967, the Gubi Basket collection comprises a lounge chair, a two-seater sofa and a three-seater sofa. With its name honouring the classic hand-weaving craft of rattan basketry, the collection features similar construction.

The core structure of the sofa is made with responsibly sourced steel, replacing the inner fibreglass shell that Joe Colombo initially designed the sofa with. This structure provides strength and stability to the unique sofa. Covered with a hand-woven rattan skin, made from interlaced strips and oval stakes, the sofa is a result of exceptional craftsmanship and skill.
